Are there any older versions available? On some of my older systems the program complains about the graphics hardware.

There are some older releases available as source code
https://sourceforge.net/projects/extremetuxracer/
but with the combination of hardware specifications and Puppy version it is hard to know what to suggest.
There is an older version 0.7.4 in that same yandex disk folder which was compiled in Wheezy and uploaded some time ago. You can try that.
