Is a 32GB save file OK? The partition is formatted in NTFS and the machine has 8GB of RAM.

No need to go that large. If you go the route of a save file, just create one about 1gb for your puppy settings and then create your documents folder outside of or alongside of your save file. This saves space in your save file plus, allows your documents to be accessed by windows or other OS if needed.
Edit: Also if something happened and you needed to re-create your set up, you wouldn’t have to move all of your documents and files back into the save file.

HP G71 Wins10 64 bit, 2.2ghz 320gb hdd, Bionicpup64 on a WD 500gb portable HDD.
