Cannot get tahrpup to install to hard drive hyper-v

Post by j4bber »

I want to use tahrpup as a lightweight server for creating multiple endpoints for testing. I want to install it on the 5G VHD attached to the VM. The iso boots fine. gparted can see the drive, but the puppy installer says there is nothing to install on..

I have tried with many combinations of gparted/formatted drive.. They all give the same issue...

1. no partitions
2. partition (5G) not formatted
3. partition (5G) formatted to ext4
4. partition 300M formatted fat32 and flagged boot + rest of disk partition ext4

None of these work...

I was thinking that I may be able to get away with an even smaller disk and just boot them all from the live CD, but I don't understand how to get the "savedrive" to always show up and get read.

I searched on the forums/google/etc but can't find a clear step by step explaination.

Can you help? :?:

Are you using puppy universal installer? It can be accessed through the install button on desktop.
