In a terminal is the command "findsmb" available. (I do not use 32bit PUPs anymore)
The results are local sharing units (no matter if MACs, MS, NAS, or Linux PCs)

toshiba intel duo 32bit. abt 1.6ghz laptop. vga connected remote screen
Laser 5000/6000 STB: CONNCTED VIA USB used for ext hdd. to pc usb. might be wrong idea, if i find my UTV007 [Fushica chipset] i will connect a/v stb out to usb in. clock rate too slow, but tolerable latency it will work better into my 15in screen. not sure i have driver. could use win7 instead without internet.

I really doubt if the USB plug on your STB is intended to be an output port.
if i find my UTV007 [Fushica chipset] i will connect a/v stb out to usb in.
That makes more sense.
