PlayOnLinux AppImage

Post by mikeslr »

Phoenicis PlayOnLinux 5.0 - Alpha 2, available here, https://www.playonlinux.com/en/comments-1368.html. Note, now 2 years old, id'd as alpha and apparently not actively being developed.
But, at least under Bionicpup64, it runs OOTB and offers some immediately available applications which will run under it.

Using it you can create different 'wine-prefixes'. There is documentation regarding how to make use of windows programs other than those immediately available. IIRC, the advice is to first check with WineHq whether such applications are at all usable and under what prefix.
Beyond my needs. But figured someone might be interested.

OK, Maybe my old eyes are not working very well.
Where is the appimage?
All I see under download packages is .tar.gz and a .deb package.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o
