What action does moving to trash take?

Does anyone know offhand what action does moving to trash take when it moves files into trash?
I see that it moves the file to one directory and then also has an info directory it puts stuff into too .

I moved some files out of trash and deleted the info directory . Clearly that does not work because the files,mp4's won't run.

If memory serves deleted files are usually marked with a d as the first bight on the disk but wxhexEdit did not show that here?

Each file seems to be moved to the hidden dir /root/.Trash/

A dir is created for each file with the name of the file + a number.

The file is in a dir named Files, like this:

/root/.Trash/zero-savefile-5027/Files/

You can look in the dir /root/.Trash/
Do not click the files in /root/.Trash/ because each file is really a Rox AppDir.
If you click a Rox AppDir it will execute the program in the dir.
Right click the Rox AppDir in /root/.Trash/ and select "Look Inside"
The trashed file should be in the Files dir. (which is in the AppDir which is in .Trash which is in /root)
If the trashed file in Files/ is an .mp4 it should not be changed and should still play.

If you deleted any of those AppDirs in /root/.Trash/ then you also deleted the trashed file.

It's difficult to undelete files from a Linux ext2/3/4 file system.
