How to use Fredi Internet cameras?

Post by April »

I have 3 of these which I cannot get to work any more. They did but I think I have lost the manual sheet that came with them.

I have reset each of them and deleted them from the FRCAM app altogether and then wifi'd off ,turned the phone off, then turned everything back on .

In each case the phone "connects" but will not show "live video"
I have used what I think is the default password being"8888" and as I said it does connect and come up "online" but refuses to load live video.

Anybody know anything about these little cameras?

As a side note these were security cameras on site at one particular place and I think a jammer was used , the deauther type, to skittle them . The younger people will know what I'm talking about. They should still work though and I think it may be password related . Do you know the default password that comes with them new? Is it "8888".

I run them with 64 GB SD cards but even a smaller 8 GB card makes no change.

Have you tried "123" for the pwd? 8888 sounds like the port number it uses maybe.

The device name is on the back but not the password.
They are only about $35 a piece and excellent 1080 quality so ideal for surveilance.
When they work anyway.
I build them in a cluster of 3 , that's 120 degrees each in a central column with a usb supply either battery or mains.

EDIT. i just tried 123 on one of them and got an answer wrong password. I then entered 8888 and it came up "online" so the password is right . The problem is something else . I think I will try a full format of the card with a Fat32 system and see what happens with that.

That changed nothing . I have tried the App I use "FRCAM" on two different phones now also.
