.....and now you know why our "kennels" are usually populated with several Puppies. They're VERY addictive.....

Just spent the better part of a day setting up a dual boot MS Windows 10 x64 and Puppy Linux Fossapup64 on an old HP dc5750 (shades of your old rig @mikewalsh )

Puppy Linux = <30 minutes including installing and configuring Grub boot loader
MS Windows 10 = rest of day, mostly trying to get unsupported drivers to work.

This is just one reason why you should love Puppy Linux.

Indeed, it is hard to turn back once you've felt the cuddly softness. And the pep!
I confess I kinda like that it's just us weirdos, on the fringe. puppy's oddities filter out conformists.

Couldn't agree more....been with Puppy since Puppy 3.01. Have "mainstream" distros on more powerful computers for grandkids,....but Puppy has always been my personal distro of choice for my own computing.

As the posts reveal, Puppys are addictive. It's difficult to have just one. And --I believe both the quote and the wallpaper are courtesy of bigpup-- 'Resistance is futile'.

Just to note that I've corrected the scribner's mistake in my prior post. Wrote 'if' intending to write 'is'.

FYI: At the conclusion of my third grade I was advised that I was only being promoted on the condition I learned how to spell. [I'm astigmatic: the world is always slightly askew. I don't always immediately recognize symbols or know that the one intended isn't the one produced. At that time that disability wasn't recognized; nor were there educational programs established to deal with it].
Fortunately, only my fourth grade teacher knew of that condition. Over the summer she broke her arm and didn't return to work until long passed the time I could quietly be removed from class. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I never did learn how to spell. ;)
