On my recently installed Bionic pup 32 19.03, on bootup I get the message 'pmcputemp unfortunately does not work on your system'. Now I did see a startup configuration screen at some point but I have not managed to find this again.. Where is it? I am assuming this pmcputemp will be in there and I can remove it?

open/root/Startup and move the pmcputemp file to /root/Startup/disabled

This is will stop pmcputemp from loading during the machine's startup. Everything in this directory /root/Startup, will be run during the boot routine

If your computer does have a processor that supports temp sensing.
Try installing this one.
cpucurtemp
http://oldforum.puppylinux.com/puppy/vi ... b84b27301e
Make sure to get correct pets.
You need the sensor pet and the cpucurtemp pet.
Install the sensor pet first.
Then the cpucurtemp pet.
Have to restart X server or reboot to get it working.
Puts a temp display icon in the desktop tray.

Well after moving pmcpu to a [created by me] directory 'disabled' the package was obviously not active on restart so OK there, as for whether or not the cpucurtemp [with sensor pet] works remains to be seen...
Thanks again, consider this SOLVED
