How to add more hardware support to Puppy?

Post by CrazyblocksTech »

Is it possible to add more hardware support to Puppy, such as video and audio drivers/kernel modules?

I am currently working on making a custom Puppy Linux for a work environment where the distribution would be used to clear drives, gather system specifications, and test hardware functionality (including monitors and external audio). We have been using Knoppix already for this purpose but I want to make a more specialized live USB for this. Due to the amount of different hardware we work with, it would be best to have support for most hardware out there.

Thank you

Use WoofCE via GIT. It will do what you need.

Offer any updates there, if you choose.
