Development of 64 Bit WeeDog Void Linux Base

Post by rockedge »

WeeDog64-Void-1.2 is ready for download and testing. Similarly equipped as the 32 bit version it also uses the 5.9.16_1 kernel. I will be experimenting with using a 4.19.XX and 5.4.XX kernels instead of the 5.9.XX series to improve boot performance.

WeeDog64-Void-1.2

Also included in /root/Build/build_ZM.sh, a script to completely build and install a LHMP stack and ZoneMinder.

IMPORTANT : Populate the menus on the first boot by running in a terminal /usr/local/bin/buildmenus
and clicking /usr/share/applications/update-entries.desktop
This will also be the method to use to UPDATE the menus after adding or removing packages.
To update repos and operating system

Code: Select all

xbps-install -Suy

To build Zoneminder, after booting open a terminal:

Code: Select all

/root/Build/build_ZM.sh

Once completed in the terminal use:

Code: Select all

hiawatha
zmpkg.pl start

Zoneminder service files are in /root/Build/zoneminder/distros for further customization.

I've no excuse now. I'll have to get on with my zoneminder system... ;-)
Nice work.
