limine pkeys not working

Hi,

In limine.cfg file,

Code: Select all

:Fatdog  (partition nvme0n1p7, direct, initrd)
    PROTOCOL=linux
    KERNEL_CMDLINE="savefile=direct:uuid:54a32cdd-caa5-40d9-8059-fac82c11868c:FatDog/fd64save:dmcrypt waitdev=5 pkeys=pt"
    KERNEL_PATH=guid://aba5be6d-f6ee-48a3-a7a0-2dde3777d418/FatDog/vmlinuz
    MODULE_PATH=guid://aba5be6d-f6ee-48a3-a7a0-2dde3777d418/FatDog/initrd

The pkeys=pt is not working when placed at the end of the KERNEL_CMDLINE as shown above.
It also doesn't work when it's placed before the waitdev=5 parameter.
If I place it at the start of the line before the savefile= parameter, FatDog is unable to open the encrypted partition where the save directory resides.

Where should I place the pkeys= parameter?

BarryK gave some examples on this page however no mention of keyboards...
The kernel command line variable ( KERNEL_CMDLINE) doesn't use any quotes????
Could that cause a problem???

Hello @libertas
@BarryK supports this boot-manager product on the forum.
Dont you AGREE this question should be asked of Barry, rather than here? FATDOG does not have the problem. It has built-in boot-managers that they support.

For KERNEL_CMDLINE, we have never used quotes, and I don't know the effect of having them.

Hi @Clarity,

It's relative to FatDog and to Limine.
There's no sub-forum for Limine, so I asked here.
Maybe a sub-forum for the various bootloaders and EFI managers full of working examples could be a good idea.
Thanks for the clarification.
