See if it is turned on

To determine if it is Hard Blocked. In a terminal (console):

Code: Select all

 rfkill list all

wlan0 is usually the wifi

If it indicates it is hard blocked.
There is a switch on the laptop that turns it off/on.
Press that switch and rerun

Code: Select all

 rfkill list all

to see if it worked to stop the hard block.

Here is info on finding out what the hardware is and how to get driver and firmware:

2nd post gives some commands to enter in a terminal to find out what the hardware is.

This adaptor needs a wl driver. Drivers are kernel-specific - a new puppy means a new driver. Use at own risk.

BW Pup 64 10.0.8 driver here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/yjizppxe ... p.pet/file

After download, click on .pet in filemanager & wait till install complete, then wait 5 sec & try to connect. If you exit puppy, need to make a savefile or savefolder (when offered) to retain driver.

(Note: for the latest Bookworm 10.0.9, I posted a driver in the forum Drivers section)
