About Updates (EasyOs Scarthgap / Daedalus)

Hello everybody:

This question is about updates (@BarryK )

I had a problem with las EasyOs Scarthgap/Daedalus update (6.4) but I think It was due to an error in the partition, not the OS, so consider It this way and my particular problem.

I needed to install a previous easyos_scarthgap version, so I went back to 6.0.
I forgot Slimjet (I can't install version 44.02 in it) and I installed VIVALDI (I gonna test it and learn to work with it, slimjet was a nightmare) but now (I have scarthgap 6.0 configures) I want to go to version 3.9.1 of scarthgap (not 6.4 because I need .zip files for my work but I prefer to wait instead of modifying system to work with those files)

Is there any way to restore a particular version? (When using update it is only possible to restore to the last version, that is 6.4)

Thanks in advance.

n.b. - This capture, is the problem that I had when I tryed to restore a corrupted full backup I made whith "Remaster PuppyLinux" soft.

I haven't understood the explanation of your problem.

You can rollback to an earlier version with Easy Version Control.

If you then want the installation to forget that it has later versions, you can go into /mnt/wkg/releases and manually delete the later folders.

To upgrade to a newer version which is not the latest, you needs to do a manual update.

It's like a frugal install. The 3 files, vmlinuz, initrd and easy.sfs, from the chosen version must be placed in /mnt/wkg and then you reboot.

See Manual updating on the page : https://easyos.org/user/how-to-update-easyos.html
