Busybox as login ash shell

Just wondering - has anyone used busybox for their login/scripting shell instead of bash on Puppy?

I'm running BookwormPup64 and loving it, but also love busybox too. But unsure if I chsh permanently to busybox ash (or whatever is best) is going to break things, and I get to keep both pieces. Chsh only shows /bin/sh which is a link to bash.

I have plenty of backup sticks, so this is just a test. Not really interested in changing the actual init, but just userland. Like compiling the latest unstable 1.37 - just for me and spot, not for a major init surgery. And nothing against bash. It's just that Puppy makes me want to do ... um, stuff.
8-)

@Zimpler

Are you planning on compiling a 'static' binary with the applets enabled?

As you state you have spare drives at hand .... nothing to stop you, just backup your save beforehand.

I updated mine on Fossapup95
