These are simple scripts in YAD, so you can test them and use them on any system. They are designed for use in KL Arch, but I don’t see why they couldn’t be used in KL Void as well.
Update Your Distro KL
It is a tool tested on SourceForge that simplifies the process of keeping your system up to date.
The scripts link to my SourceForge: https://sourceforge.net/projects/kla-ma ... s/updates/. You should replace it with your own URL.
Features:
1* No Server Required: Update your KL system directly from a specific folder with Arch .zst packages. It works on SourceForge and can also be adapted for other platforms!
2* Graphical Interface with YAD: A user-friendly GUI that lists all packages and informs you if they are already installed.
3* Package Management: Installed packages are logged in user-installed-packages.txt, making management straightforward.
4* Smart Notifications: If there are missing packages, you’ll receive an instant warning via notify-send.
5* Also Creates a Systray Launcher: The updater GUI sits in the systray, allowing you to access updates at any time.
When the system starts, it checks for updates. If it finds a new update, it sends an instant warning with notify-send.
It also activates the GUI in the systray, allowing the user to click at any time for installation.
