@Jamayka24 :-

Mm. Okayyy...

Well, it's perfectly possible to remove the shortcuts ("launchers", as they're called). It's also possible to reduce the number of workspaces to one, although multiple workspaces can be really useful, and permit the execution of different apps/tasks at the same time WITHOUT getting everything jammed-up together on a single workspace. This was always one area where Linux excelled over Windows many years ago...

It can be done from within the JWMDesk Manager, although the version in DPupBW64 is rather different to what I'm used to (radky's current version of this has an awful lot more bells'n'whistles, and from what little I've seen of it I find it rather confusing); folks who use this Puppy regularly would be better placed to advise. But what you want CAN be done, quite easily.

Hang in there. Help WILL be forthcoming..! :)

Mike. ;)

1 desktop:
in terminal: geany /root/.jwm/jwmrc-personal then change virtual desktop to ...width 1 and ...height 1. I usually work with 6 workspaces see photo. save and on terminal jwm -restart & Now you should have one workspace.

2. shortcuts/icons: are you referring to the desktop or the tray? On desktop icons, right click on the icon and click on remove items??

Hello,

I am using BookwormPup64 10.0.8 x86_64
If you prefer a GUI experience:

1. MENU → DESKTOP → JWMdesk
2. When open, click the Tray tab at the top of the panel.
3. Look for Virtual Desktops
4. Change 3 to 1
5 Apply when satisfied.

in my experience using JWMdesk may alter your jwmrc, jwmrc-tray or jwmrc-theme files to the default setting so you can lose your keyboard shortcuts and menu settings... a just a warning...

Oh! That's a good heads up! Thank you.
I tend to make a change or two to the system, save my session, reboot and if everything goes wrong don't save the current session. All of that with the occasional Pupsave backup.
