I found this ISO (focal64-8.0.iso) on archive.org. It was built in May 2021, and I can't seem to find any information on it online.
Has anyone seen this "FossaPup64 8.0"?

Re: Has anyone seen this "FossaPup64 8.0"?
@IdfbAn Yes, I use Fossapup64-9.5 and Fossapup64--9.6 which is probably quite close to Fossapup64-8. I remember Bionic64-8.0 but no version 8 in Fossapup64. Has been in one form or another a main operating system for working the last several years.
F96-CE_4 is an enhanced Fossapup64-9.6 woof-CE build. All of the Fossapup64's originated with @666philb and F96-CE_4 was assembled by myself and @radky who did the final polish and technical fine tuning.

That is one of the early versions of Fossapup64.
Basically the alpha stage of development version.
Really it was released for testing, bug finding, and fixing.
In development of Fossapup64, a newer version was released as it developed.
Kept bumping up the version number.
We the Puppy users are also the Puppy testers.
So release a version and let people use it, test it, find bugs, and maybe offer fixes.
The final fully working release of Fossapup64 is version 9.5.
Even Fossapup64 9.6 was not a fully finished version.
It was released for testing, with some new ideas for programs and the way it operated.
666philb never took it to being a final release stage.
But for the most part it does work OK.
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

That can't be it, because 9.5 was made in September 2020. This is from May 2021.

The date indicate some odd timing. I think you have a remastered version by an unknown (at this time) author. The date the version number and the name of the ISO are not in the usual form.
This is in F96-CE_4:

Well maybe I am wrong, but I do remember very early versions being in the 8.something number.
Because I questioned if Fossapup64 is going to actually be the 9.0 version of Puppy.
Now I see exactly what you downloaded.
It is Focal64-8.0.iso
Which says it is Fossapup64 8.0

I think you found it! The name, version, and even date are the same as the ISO on archive.org.
