Mullvad Browser

Post by goblin »

Barry, thank you for such an excellent version of Puppy.

I just created EasyOS 6.1.1 on USB. Installed Firefox.

I wanted to try to install Mullvad Browser from flathub. (Debian Version)

On attempting to start,, it says not recommended running as root.

Before I try to get around the error.

Is there some reason not to use Mullvad Browser? Is there a better general use browser for simple partially secure browser?

Should I be installing Mullvad Browser directly from the Mullvad website?

Thanks for any replies.

Uninstall mullvad flatpak.

Then do it the recommended way:

Run Flapi, via "pkg" desktop icon.
Click on customize button.

The installation of mullvad will run as user "mullvad".

Flathub page:

https://flathub.org/apps/net.mullvad.MullvadBrowser

The ID: net.mullvad.MullvadBrowser
Homepage: https://mullvad.net/en/browser

Give it a short name: Mullvad
Possible short description: Private secure web browser

OK, decided to try it:

Created a desktop icon. Yes, works.
