Changing the 'default' package mirror

I thought it might be useful for users of this OS if they could choose the package repo geographically closest to them and also the choose of a Tier 1 or 2 provider.

I am sure this application is included in the package manager, but thought I would give it a try to compile.

Just type in terminal

Code: Select all


xmirror

and follow the prompts.

It will change the name of the repository and sync at the same time.

that was the problem, changed to California repository and now fast!
