gnucash working version

I'm using
GNUcash Version: 3.8Build ID: 3.8b+(2019-12-29)
on a
fossapup64 linux USB
Is there a different version I can try apart from the one noted above?

Problems with this version are that when I go to Business>Customer>Invoice Due Reminder, I get a window called 'Due Invoices Reminder' and instead of showing the Companies Name in the 'company' column, it shows the Jobs Name, which means I have to open the invoice to see who it's for.  Any way to change this?
Also, when I import from .qif the notes or memo field is not imported.

Using The newest GNU cash from the website I have no problem on linux mint.

Here is a 5.5 version deb package you could try.

It is for a newer version of Ubuntu, so it may not work for you in Fossapup64.
Only way to know is try it.

It did not work.
root# gnucash
gnucash: error while loading shared libraries: libguile-3.0.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I was not able to find libguile-3.0.so.1

Maybe post a request here for someone to compile version 5.8 to work in Fossapup64 9.5
viewforum.php?f=92

People doing this know much more than I do how to get it maybe working in Fossapup64 9.5.

All the packages of it, I have tried, do not like the dependency files/programs, and want newer ones, than are in Fossapup64.
Sure seems, with each new version of Gnucash, they are coding it to need the latest dependency stuff, to work.
