How can I scan from my printer/scanner?
I'm using BookwormPup64_10.0.6
Brother Printer/Scanner MFC-L3720CDW
I can print to it, but didn't see any scanning software from BookwormPup.
I can scan from Pop!_OS linux.
Thanks

Once you have downloaded and installed the files from the link @sonny provided, run the following command. It will help if you assign a static IP address for your printer
Code: Select all
brsaneconfig4 -a name=name.your.device model=model.name ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Bookwormpup64 10.0.7 has "Document Scanner" program. If 10.0.6 doesn't have one pre-installed, you can install xsane

I looked at it again and found that there was a "Document Scanner" under the Graphics menu.
But even though I was able to make the printer print I couldn't get the scanner to work.
So I Downloaded the Brother Install Tool like you suggested and ran the script for it. (it asked for the ip address of the printer)
Now I'm able to scan using the same selection of Document Scanner.
So it did take the download to make the scanner work for this BookwormPup64_10.0.6.
Thanks for your quick response for this.

Excellent! Next time, if you replace xx.xx.xx.xx with the IP address, it should not prompt you.
