Is there anyone here besides me who has an old Chromebook from the "oak" family (Mediatek MT8173C, 11.6', 4 GB of RAM, 32/64 GB eMMC) and wants to explore the possibility of running Puppy on it?

@dimkr
I do not have one and have avoided them since there seems to be no support on mrchromebox.com. If you've not already found this: https://github.com/hexdump0815/imagebui ... /readme.md it may be of interest.

Re: Puppy on MediaTek MT8173C Chromebooks
Thanks @wizard, I know this one.
I want to try something a bit simpler: apply the Chrome OS kernel configuration overlay for Mediatek based models to the Debian kernel configuration, instead of using upstream kernel. I'll try this if and when I'm done implementing cross-compilation.
