I am a newbie. Please tell me the process to install the "vpn-onoff-fossapup.pet" on my Fossapup64 9.5. I have extracted the zipped folder and navigated to the "etc" folder, where I found the "vpn-onoff" folder.
I then copied this "vpn-onoff" folder into my system's "etc" folder. After this, I rebooted my device, but nothing happened. Nothing showed up in Menu > Network. I was expecting to see VPN-START/VPN-STOP in Menu > Network, like Menu > Network > VPN-START or Menu > Network > VPN-STOP.
I was trying to install this "vpn-onoff" on my freshly installed Fossapup64 9.5. Please help.

to the forums! Good to have you onboard.....
Installing this package should be very easy as it is a PET package designed for Fossapup.
Using the Rox file manager open up the /root/Downloads directory and locate vpn-onoff-fossapup.pet and click on it.
There should be a box that opens that will ask to confirm installation. Click on yes and let the system install the PET package.
It should be ready to run now!
Note: If per chance there is no menu entry select Menu->Fixmenus. (might be Applications->Fixmenus)
a PET package is the native form of package for Puppy Linux. Fossapup64 can directly install .pet and .deb packages in the same way. DEB packages are native to Debian and Ubuntu.

It is within size limit (max size 537kiB) for attachments.
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.

Hi all,
after a couple of months, during which it worked seamless, it suddenly stopped working.
VPN Type: NONE
My OS is untouched (a live on a write-protected usb pen).
Is it just me or does this happen to some of you too?

i just use openvpn
changed the commandline in /usr/bin/vpn-start
sudo openvpn --config /etc/vpn-onoff/vpngate_vpn975569906.opengw.net_udp_1698.ovpn
Not perfect but it works to my needs. with or without the GTK
or go here and look around. it's a vast rabbit hole of info, be ye prepared!!
