first go at using Flapi

Im using a low spec machine: eMachines eM350 N450 Atom, 2Gb..that I usually run Haiku-os on.
Chromium crashes..and would like to try Falkon which I sometimes use in Haiku.

The Falkon info I have for Flapi is:
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists kdeapps --from https://distribute.kde.org/kdeapps.flatpakrepo
flatpak install kdeapps org.kde.falkon
flatpak run org.kde.falkon

The sample in flapi doesn't list 'Internet'..so using 'Network':
proj: kdeapps org.kde.falkon
app ID: org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
app name: Falkon
des: Light Browser

..now Ive not used flatpaks before but at 72 Im still learning...so hopefully someone can point me in right direction.

I did get a result that looked like it worked..but clicking on the resulting icon didn't produce a result.

Must say though - Im amazed at the range of options within Easyos and the things that work outta the box.

if the executable is named "falkon", try running it in a terminal, see if any error messages.

oops gotta keep this short as chromium keeps crashing.
theres mistakes in my post above.
and naturally links go to a 64 bit download.

usual story: operator error !!

gonna try a different browser but chromium wont let me download.

so gonna download on a different pc and install..and hopefully will be back later.

had good learning inn this exercise..so all good.

success !!

..got the right info added..as I did yesterday (I think) but today it worked.

I wrongly thought maybe my emachine was 32 bit but on checking found it to be 64bit.
..actually I didn't expect it to work as the Flapi screen indicated an incomplete down load.

Anyway all good..now I can test Falkon in Easyos and see how it compares to Falkon in Haiku.
