Having clear rendering of text on the desktop, wherever it be for typing, browsing the internet is a 'must' for me.
I have been using this script which to my eyes does make a difference especially on my laptop.

@Jasper :-
D'you know, I'm hanged if I can see any difference.....but then, my eyesight is not what it used to be these days. What's the difference supposed to be, or do?
Mike.

There are some demo images here to demonstrate the changes:

Have you read the information regarding the profiles that are available?

Hi Jasper,
Thanks for sharing this script for improving text rendering on Linux platforms! Having clear and easily readable text is definitely important, especially for extended periods of computer use.
The script seems straightforward to use, and your recommendation based on personal experience adds credibility to its effectiveness. I'll be sure to give it a try on my own system, especially since I often find myself working on my laptop for long stretches.
Improving font rendering can make a significant difference in overall user experience, so I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Thanks again for sharing!https://beautymemba.com/
