Hi all

I want to edit my Pupsave file and then repack it.

Would this be the correct compression to use?

I understand your pupsave file is an SFS file, you can click on it to mount it and see the content (when not in use, from a new session) , edit whatever you want, and unmount it.

@fernan

I have removed contents from the directory once it is unpacked.

The problem arises when I zip it up to be used the OS does not recognise it.

From memory, I believe it is a EXT2 filesystem which has been compressed. Maybe, I am wrong in my thinking :roll:

Did you use some special compression feature when installing puppy linux?

My pupsave files (all of them, I have 5 puppy linux machines) are not compressed, the extension is ".3fs", you just mount them, delete or add items, and unmount them. Always from another session.

It's a 'Save file' on a flash drive
