how to watch monitor on phone as vr wirelessly, 24/7, free pls

most casting apps put phone on monitor, but i want the opposite..
phone is android 8.1.0
apparently i need a <cardboard> compatible viewer, which i cannot get unrestricted nor with ip access. an <Anydesk> QR code is unrecognised-
i've tried to email google for an update, but the address isn't monitored.
i haven't tried <team viewer>, but assume there's fees/restrictions.
unless there's a better way? i'd rather not usb tether, tho' that would work.
