Can Wayland be forwarded like X11 using a SSH server?

Looking again at Dropbear and in general the function of forwarding X11 to supply GUI's from a remote machine via a SSH tunnel and wondering now how working in a graphical environment remotely will be effected by Wayland - Hyprland compositors.
Can the GUI's be forwarded from a remote machine that is running Wayland and not Xorg? I don't think I've tested this out yet and wonder how it would work if the remote machine is using Wayland or Hyprland and the machine I am connecting from is running X11 (Xorg) or vise-versa.
