How exactly would this be useful for Puppy?

From reading the documentation I understood that it was tool that could build/compile applications that would be hosted for a repository.

I guess today most users do not compile applications and use Package Managers.

This would make it unnecessary for users to provide PETS/SFS files.

The software would have the compiler applications that would do this for you automatically.
