Most likely missing dependencies.

Run: soffice
in a terminal and see what errors are reported.

Where did you get LibreOffice from? BionicPup32 is getting very old so it's likely that only old versions of apps will run at all.

Are you sure you want to run BionicPup32? Is there a reason?

@emanbel21

(1) What version of LibreOffice are you using?
(2) How did you install this copy of LibreOffice?

Thanks,
cobaka

when i run soffice i get: command not found
i got Libreoffice from a post in here it was in a google drive folder, i installed this version libreoffice-5.4.0-x86_64-1.
there isn't really any specific reason why i'm running Bionicpup32, i actually would love to switch to a more modern distro that is lightweight and looks nice :) thank youuu

You have installed a 64-bit version onto a 32-bit os - this will never work!
There are plenty of more modern Pup builds described on the forum - you may be better off with a 64-bit versin - e.g. BookwormPup64 for instance.

That is a 64 bit version of Libreoffice.
libreoffice-5.4.0-x86_64-1
-x86_64 in the name identifies it as 64bit.

32bit is identified as i386 or or someplace in the name having 32 and not 64.

It is not going to run in 32bit Bionicpup.

You need a 32bit version.

Go to this section of the forum:
viewforum.php?f=96

There are several posts offering 32bit and 64bit versions.

Just make sure you download a 32bit version.

Here are a few topics:

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
