How to compile an evdev dependency against eudev

Post by stemsee »

I bought an m-audio m-track quad audio interface for $20, and then I found a firmware package for linux that requires compiling. However it looks for evdev --version. However fatdog has eudev. What steps would I take to compile it. Can I edit the dependency spec or what? The purpose is to compile the firmware and evdev rules.

Just comment out line 2820 to 2824 in configure and you'll be good.

Yes, it worked. Thanks.

This is only for usb-midi interface, so i cannot use the audio interface. I had to buy a windows laptop to use my two audio interfaces, as i bought them so cheaply it made them laptop purchase worthwhile. Otherwise I would need to buy a zoom H8, portable audio interface and recorder, as it is class compliant, unlike m-audio.

Yeah, I wonder where you can get a $20 M-Audio. All the M-Audio stuff I saw on ebay is > $100 (for 2-channel), for 4-channel we're looking at > $200 ...
