A Yubikey has been forced on me

Post by chiefengineer »

...and I am library-less. It says I need version 244 but we have 243: udevadm --version. It requires "pcscd" and the main app needs libnotify.so.4. Needs libu2f-udev,
lsusb tells me this is: Yubico.com Yubikey 4/5 OTP+U2F+CCID
Would anyone be able to give me a clue how to move forward with this?

I don't run FatDog but have some interest since YubiKeying could happen to me at some point. Curious, had a quick look in the pups I do run fairly often. Fossapup64 9.5 derivs show version 243 as did LxPupSc64 so I passed on them. BookWorm64 10.0.4.0 showed version 251, had libnotify.so.4 (4.0.0), and both libu2f-udev (v1.1.10-v3) and pcscd (v1.9.9.2) were available in repo. Another jammypup64 showed version 249, had libnotify.so.4 and had both libu2f-udev and pcscd in repo, Voidpup64 showed version 251 but I didn't chase the other libs there. I run Bookworm64 fairly often so If the eventuality occurred I'd try that first -I hope it doesn't-

Just my snooping, Jim

My pups: LxPupSc64 and Voidpup64 with LXDE ydrv & synaptics touchpad drivers, both using savefiles. Ydrv based Jammypup64 (JWM), Bookworm64, Fossapup23 & FossapupFire (LXDE/PCManFM). No savefiles, no fdrvs there.
