Official Puppy Linux Repository

Post by bigpup »

The official Puppy Linux repository:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/

Here you will find all official Puppy Linux versions.

There are two directories for each Puppy version.

Puppy-(name of Puppy version) ->This is the Puppy version iso and other relevant packages. (devx.sfs, kernel sources.sfs, etc...)

Pet_packages-(name of Puppy version) ->All the pet packages, specifically compiled for this specific Puppy version.

Note:
When looking for a specific devx.sfs or kernel sources.sfs.
You may need to look, in both directories, of the specific Puppy version, you are trying to find them for.

The test directory is used for Puppy versions, still being developed.
Not yet ready for a specific separate directory.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

Between Slacko, Bionic and Tahr pup, i find the repository have almost everything.
Google Earth love it
I am a HAM operator KI7OQF,,,Puppy repository has Chirp, and it works no questions asked.
I am a Libre Office user, Puppy runs it fine, the big boys have issues.
Open Linux Mint 20, LMDE4 or the latest Ubuntu,,,,,Chirp doesn't work
You will fight trying to get Google Earth that works,
Open Libre office, click print 2 copies,,,,,,you get 1.
I am beginning to realy like the Puppy repositorys,,,I am just about ready to UPGRADE to BIONIC PUP, LINUX mint up to 13 ok, after that
