CUPS installer not going past 2nd menu

cant install 2nd printer as scanner. nothing shown beyond 2nd page. cups apparently installed.

INFORMATION???? This has all been said many, many times before.
Computer: Make, Model. Laptop, etc?
Printer, Scanner, MAKE, MODEL('s) same/different, etc.
CONNECTION? How? USB-1, USB-2, USB-3, alternatives....Wi-Fi?
Direct to computer or through a USB multi-terminal?
What have you tried?
this worked in fossapup64-9.5
dell optilux 3050
usb via ext hub
hp photosmart C3750xx
existing printer bro d2450du? via int usb hub
re-installed os, same savefile-will try new savefile.
edit 1
new save file, both printers now installed.
p;s how to merge new save file into old one so i gain without loss?

exited, rebooted in old save file, t click new save file to load it, rebooted--files merged. wonderful. now will create backup.
