Hello fellow Linux -Heads and testers /experimenters.

Anyone out here on this Vast Forum use s15PUP64??

Anyone use some of the Multi-Media Capabilities built into it??

I have used FFconvert Multi-media convertor which seems to work when converting a "downloaded file to say a mP4 file

However I would like to make this MP4 File playable on a regular Set Box DVD Player on a 4.7 G DVD.

What apps/Tools would I happen to appropriate to convert the file to a DVD type file ( VTS I gather or VOB)
and what would be used to finally Burn the Obstinate file to a dvd??

regards -chilibowl :geek:

I see you have made a few threads on the issue of converting files to play on a DVD player so I'll just stick to this one thread. First of all, it depends on which codecs the specific DVD player supports and this you need to establish beforehand. The most common codecs for almost all video players are mpeg-2 for video and ac3 for audio. Many DVD players also support mp4 (or it says it supports mp4) and many actually have a usb port which you can use a pendrive to play from. mp4 however is a container format so it may contain different coded files that are not supported by the dvd player in which case it will not play (even if it says it does support mp4). Another important thing is if the dvd player will actually be able to read a data disk that you have made, many can't and if this is the case you are out of luck.
If it can play a user compiled data disk, you can use FFconvert. The easiest way is to select one of the dvd options in "presets", save your preset and then look under the "details" if you are happy with the settings before doing the conversion. You can use Pburn to burn your produced video file as a data image.
