download script to download chimaera (20210529) iso from source depository:
mklive-chimaera.gz: download/file.php?id=4211
Using the mklive-bullseye script (updated to May 29, 2021), I first created 2 debiandog chimaera systems (1 each for 64 and 32 bit) with the obdog desktop option. Then I created half-Chinese and Chinese language debs for these 2 systems.
I have created the following Half-Chinese debs each for debiandog chimaera (20210529) obdog desktop 64 and 32 bit systems:
64 bit:
fcitx Chinese input platform: fcitx64_4.2.9-en-zh-bionic-121.1.5.deb (14 mb)
yong Chinese input platform: yong64_20201122-en-zh-bionic-121.1.5.deb (7 mb)
32 bit:
fcitx Chinese input platform: fcitx_4.2.9-en-zh-bionic-120.1.6.deb (18 mb)
Plus 2 Chinese language pets each for debiandog chimaera (20210529) obdog desktop 64 and 32 bit systems:
Simplified Chinese:
64 bit: DD64_chimaera-obdog20210529-zhcn-121.1.5.deb (3 mb)
32 bit: DD32_chimaera-obdog20210529-zhcn-120.1.6.deb (3 mb)
Traditional Chinese:
64 bit: DD64_chimaera-obdog20210529-zhhk-121.1.5.deb (2 mb)
32 bit: DD32_chimaera-obdog20210529-zhhk-120.1.6.deb (2 mb)
To use:
(a) any 1 of the half-Chinese languages pet will enable you to display and input Chinese in debiandog chimaera (20210529) obdog desktop 64 bit (use the fcitx64 or yong64 121.1.5 deb) and 32 bit (use the fcitx 120.1.6 deb) systems
(b) the name+version corresponding Chinese language pets will give you Simplified Chinese (zhcn deb) or Traditional Chinese (zhhk deb) menus, icon labels, tooltips for debiandog chimaera (20210529) obdog desktop 64 and 32 bit systems. Please note that all Chinese language debs rely on a suitable half-Chinese language deb already installed to the system to provide Chinese input platform and Chinese fonts. Otherwise the system cannot input Chinese and display Chinese (shown as squares).
Also note that because jwm has unresolved localization issues, the start jwm desktop option was disabled in the Chinese language debs.
for more information about the fcitx and yong debs, please see the first posting of this subject (same as fcitx pets)
Download addresses for these half-Chinese and Chinese language debs are also available in the first posting of this subject.
