I shared a screenshot, they deleted it, but it didn't open for me either.
Link works for me using Firefox v115.5.0 Oesr 64bit.
Your issues could be the browser and version of it, you are using.
Bookworm Pup64 10.0.3

Bookworm Pup64 10.0.3
Bookworm Pup64 10.0.3
Distro Name: fossapup64 9.6 (x86_64)
Puppy desk: JWM
Browser: Firefox 116.0.2 (64-bit)
Is there a way to keep the size of the Firefox screen to a customized size when it opens? Currently the window expands to cover the entire desktop screen.
The goal is to be able to see the widgets and icons on the screen while having the browser open, but, without always reaching for the minimize/maximize buttons in the browser window.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Type about:support in the url window. A few entries down is "Profile Directory". In that directory you will find "xulstore.json" which has the default window size and position.
I've never tried editing it before, so I can't say if changes will hold up. good luck!

I have two methods, and they are really easy, so try them if you are interesed
1.- This one is really simple, it works for me but...
- Open Firefox and resize the window to your preferred size.
2.-Using a Firefox Extension:
Install an extension like "Custom New Tab Page" or "New Tab Tools" from the Firefox Add-ons website.
These extensions allow you to customize various aspects of the new tab page, including the window size.
I hope some of these work for you
Have a nice day
@Sky Aisling :-
To add my two-penn'orth, the first suggestion above from @pp4mnklinux appears to work OK for Pale Moon, too. Just tried it here in Xenialpup64 on the Dell Latitude.
Resize to what you want; close the browser. Re-open the browser. The window position & size are remembered. (If you also set the browser to remember open tabs from when you last closed, it fires-up in an identical state to how you left it!) Seems to apply equally across all the 'zilla-based clones.
(I'm not knocking @trawglodyte 's suggestion. But I'll always try the easy route first, before I start editing config files..!)
Even Puppy's moved on a ways from how things were several years ago. That fact is NOT reserved solely for mainstream distros.
We can match 'em, stroke for stroke, at least 95% of the time....

I don't like much on my desktop. (-; Also, I need to learn to take a high-quality screen capture of my desktop! Yours are all so clear and mine is blurry!
