@fredx181 ........ an alternative to RClone ....smaller binary
Unpack and put the binary somewhere in your PATH
eg
/usr/bin or /usr/local/bin
Add google account to gdrive
Run gdrive account add
This will prompt you for your google Client ID and Client Secret
Next you will be presented with an url
Follow the url and give approval for gdrive to access your Drive
You will be redirected to http://localhost:8085 (gdrive starts a temporary web server) which completes the setup
Gdrive is now ready to use!
Jasper wrote:@fredx181 ........ an alternative to RClone ....smaller binary
OK, Nice !
Run gdrive account add
This will prompt you for your google Client ID and Client Secret
But this assumes that you have created a Client ID and Client Secret for gdrive in the Google API console, right ? (can be a pia for the average user, I guess)

The same developer has a newer application Telluride Cloud Video Downloader Build 30 which is available as a binary on GitHub
https://github.com/frostwire/frostwire/ ... ride_linux
What's New in Build 30?
Our team has worked diligently to enhance Telluride's capabilities, keeping it at the forefront of video downloading technology. Here’s what’s new:
Upgraded Core: Telluride now runs on yt_dlp-2023.12.30 and Python 3.12.1, ensuring improved performance and compatibility.
Development Tool Updates: We’ve updated various development tools including pyinstaller-6.3.0, pip-23.3.2, and others, enhancing the overall stability and security of Telluride.
Enhanced Dependency Management: Improved dependencies like requests-2.31.0, certifi-2023.11.17, and urllib3-2.1.0 contribute to a smoother user experience.
Easy-to-Use, More Powerful
Telluride's user-friendly interface remains unchanged, but its power and efficiency have been significantly boosted. Whether you're downloading for offline viewing or extracting audio from videos, Telluride handles it all with ease.
It uses yt-dlp and I could see no additional benefits

export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/go/bin
