Hello everybody:
This is my "desktop". I include a photo of it all, because I want to suggest you the best solution I found to solve my back problems when working long time with the pc.
When you read about take care of your back, people suggest you to put the monitor at the same hight that your eyes, and that is sometimes very difficult, although you can adjust your chair, the table... some times it's not confortable to write, others to play, others to read.... so the best for me is this base for my monitor.- It really works, its cheap, useful and permit your back to be relaxed.
Take a look at... https://www.amazon.es/universal-computa ... 107&sr=8-3
(PLEASE, don't think I gonna earn money with this suggestion, consider it as this.... a suggestion I wanna share with you) but if some admon consider it spam excuseme and delete it, but this can help you:
GOOD HEALTH: Elevate your monitor or laptop to a proper ergonomic viewing position, creating the best posture that helps reduce neck and back strain, then store stapler, tape dispenser and note paper under the monitor riser .
Tilt function: my computer monitor can be adjusted forward from 0 to 15 degrees to put the computer in a comfortable position.
Personality Design: The triangular shape is perfect for corner spaces and L-shaped desks or just to place on
ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT: The stainless steel leg can be freely adjusted in height from 3.5" to 4.5".
Safety use: 1/5" tempered safety glass can bear a maximum weight capacity of 88Lbs
Have a nice day.

@geo_c really nice desktop design! This one is very usable and looks sleek and "modern".
Is this one using the separate moveable objects for the distro name and clock?
Yes, those allow me to simply edit the gtkdialog script for different distro names and choose different backgrounds images. In Fossapup I also have gtk mochi's clock script, essentially they're the same script, one displaying a time function, the other marked up text.
EDIT: I find that background particularly useful for dark themes, the color can be changed easily in gimp to match gtk/jwm. It's unassuming, and clean looking.
But as I pointed out in the gtkdialog topic https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic. ... 713#p79713, the gtkdialog window has the background color of the current gtktheme, and if it doesn't match the desktop background looks a little rough.

Faster, Free, Symple PUPPY LINUX
If that's vanilladpup, it's designed to build with, so I made a version with Xfce from the puppy package manager. It worked OOTB. There were a few things that need tweaking. I think I remember the desktop icons and things of that nature.
I have 2 cats. They have staged a coup and now in control, demand more operating system background representation.
The Government forces (me) are unable to initiate a counter-offensive being outnumbered and not as well equipped in the claws and teeth weaponry. Have immediatley switched to a more "acceptable" background wallpaper presentation.
