Sounds too good to be true.I am an unshakable Skeptic.
Nevertheless i am deeply impressed by your unshakable Optimism. I hope/wish you were right.
Yup, I'll go along with that. Whilst Clarity's unswervable optimism - and belief in humanity's inherent "goodness" - is certainly impressive, I can't agree with it. I've seen too many atrocities perpetuated by man against his fellow man during my lifetime. Humans are their own worst enemy.....and anything "invented" by man will ALWAYS be twisted toward nefarious, self-serving ends. Musk is a prime example of that. He only expended a small portion of his enormous personal wealth toward getting "the Donald" elected in the hope it would lead toward a huge increase in that personal wealth.
Self-serving, y'see.
There will always be those who wish to control others. Personal wealth is but one way of doing so. I've long held the belief that the only time when we humans will truly 'advance' is when the need for personal wealth, gain & possessions is past. That won't be during MY lifetime.
Reminds me all too vividly of the shenanigans displayed within Orwell's 'Animal Farm'.
'All animals are equal'.....then Snowball alters the 'Rules' on the end wall of the barn to read '....but some animals are MORE equal than others'. Hah.
And later in the book, toward the end, when the pigs are starting to display distinctly human traits, Snowball modifies the 'Rules' again. The primary rule becomes 'Four legs good.....two legs BETTER'. Yeah, right....
Orwell was more of a prophet than he could ever have known. When the apes evolved into Australopithecus, and began to stand on two legs.....the stage was set. That's when all the problems began...
