Well, that would work, Erik. Technically, if you're running multiple frugals from the same directory then they're ALL in /mnt/home (or /initrd/mnt/dev_save IF ya want to be 'picky' about it. )

Then, the one 'portable' Firefox should - in theory - be available to and usable by ALL members of the "kennels"..!

Is it possible to make a real time kernel work in F-96_4? like for eksample KLV-Airedale-RT with full Real Time Kernel 6.6.0-rt15
if - could someone show me how?

Yes it is possible to run a real time kernel in F96-CE.

In an hour or so I will post the instructions on how to do it. It's a basic kernel swap.

There are 3 methods that will quickly install the 6.6.0-rt15 full real time kernel into a instance of F96-CE_4

• Method 1. Download the ISO F96-CE_4-RT. It comes with that kernel preinstalled. You could from the ISO copy the zdrv and vmlinuz to replace your current versions that are in the existing system you are running. Or use this ISO and copy your save folder/file over to this RT version.

• Method 2. Download the huge kernel package and in a terminal on your current F96-CE_4, type change_kernels and follow the instructions on the GUI.

• Method 3. Download a copy of the huge kernel and extract the files. Rename the components to match the required names in F96-CE_4 and manually copy and replace those from the stock kernel 6.0.12

Download directly -> huge-6.6.0-rock-rt15.tar.bz2

Download F96-CE_4-RT directly -> F96-CE_4-RT.iso
SHA1-MD5.txt

to the download folder on Mega.nz -> huge 6.6.0-rt15

Please let me know how you make out with the swap. There are other RT kernels that will work that are also structured in the non-usrmerge style that F96-CE_4 uses.

Main thing is to match the the components names correctly. Simply rename the files to your specifications. And that care is taken to use non-usrmerge structured kernel components!

tried nr 2 terminal came out with

it didnt seem to swap the kernel?

made nr1 work both with new install and by copying zdrv and vmlinuz into old install on my laptop! thanks
