Hi @mistfire,
I ask again: does save session in pupmode 13 work as expected on your side?
peace
I think I found the bug on the shutdown script which keeps the session saved even the user choose NO when asked to save session on PUPMODE 13. The fix was applied on QuickPup64 23.01 RC6. You are free to try the latest release

There's a link error on the links that you sent to me. I included the amdgpu firmware drivers on the latest release of QuickPup64. Could you please try it to your computer?

Yep ,Pupmode13 save is ok .
Please check ,Xvkbd is missing /usr/share/X11/app-defaults/ (various layout)
and , adding those , choosing french ,example, seem ''volatile'' , not keeping changes !?!
A .xvkbd was create in root with;#keyboard french ,
hmm ,right privilege ?! any idea ? never saw this problem yet .
Oh ,here ,log is flooded with
daemon.warn NetworkManager ...platform-linux: do-add-ip6-address[3: fe80::8b6c:7f0b:c4a9:58e1]: failure 95 (Operation not supported)
changed: no IPv6 link local address to retry after Duplicate Address Detection failures (back off)
Ask if more details needed mistfire .
Missed rox-filer that shows recently changed or recently added files in a bold text ,i dont see any thunar settings to enable such feature .

mistfire ,
i think i 'll reboot twice before posting...mysteries , pkg uninstall is working now, euhh, what have i done ?
else than reboot ,updating database!?! should not affect user installed pkg ! could it?
What the heck is wec-launch ,sparse detail found,a M$ privilege script?
Else ,i did manage to get rox-filer working, but, not as default file manager.
The Set default apps manager wont do it ,it wont do it for wec-gg-chrome too .
A lot is new to me here .... xfce get a lot of its speed with its own script...exo-launch ,ok ,
fun to learn !

wec-launch is just a helper to launch any webkit-based browser or apps as root instead of running as other user. Because webkit-based browser or apps prohibits to run on root account

Audio lost connections problem, checked ,got pro audio settings enabled , everything was\is fine with it until the daw(muse here looking for best rt driver ,and cannot find any?!? ) disable pavucontrol mixer ,which , as i read ,would be ,kind of ''normal'' ;“Pro Audio” Profile. This disables all the mixer options ... but reverting to ,here , to duplex is impossible as option in pavucontrol are inaccessible once the daw wake the problem, then ,restarting x ,choosing duplex ,saving ,rebooting , make the pipewire , pavu & the daw find all they need .
Wish i could be more helpful ! will test some more ,from quickpup64 RC? & pipewire 1.0 RC? ...
More fun to come!

Hello @mistfire
I have just tested this ISO booting its ISO file from Ventoy AND from SG2D. All cases: the boot stops at QuickPUP's console requiring user action to get to its desktop.
On the Selection Screen from each boot-launcher, I merely take the default QP Grub2 stanza without changing anything.

Hello @mistfire
Today, I am using RC6. The ISO file, being launched from Ventoy or from SG2D, is booting to desktops. This is verified in my test on Intel PCs and a AMD AIO PC.
I noticed this in your announcement:
Changes:
* Linux kernel 6.5.8-lxpup64
* Intel, radeon, amdgpu, noveau, and nvidia firmware drivers are fully included on FDRV SFS module...
How should I proceed to use the included firmware on couple PCs I have with nvidia adapters. Neither PC has any Intel graphics on their motherboards. Not sure if this RC6 will auto-discover or if there are steps to follow.
Thanks for all the excellent progress. Pipewire audio, OOTB, is fine.

Intel graphics have feature called GuC and HuC which was enabled by default on QuickPup64.
See https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/intel_graphics
For nvidia gpu, nouveau was still the option or use the official nvidia driver package from offlicial nvidia website.

Thanks, I was curious seeing your Changes list, if the included drivers could be accessed with built-in included firmware, These cards & PCs are old and thought I might get lucky without going to the nvidia website.
On another note
Although this is NOT requested, here is the successful boot logs from this all Intel test PC. It is humming along smoothly with no current issues.

No external hw devices was plugged ,happend with tablet onboard audio only:
Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP HD Audio [8086:9d70] (rev 21)
Only scratched the surface of your pipewire integration for now .no jack stuff yet ,not even an external midi device .

No need for that because xfce menus automatically populates desktop files from XDG_DATA_DIR folders. Just add categories on /etc/xdg/menus/xfce-applications.menu file
