@Duprate thanks, I grabbed those icons, they're going into my 'tbox' and will be posted in an updated collection at some point found here: viewtopic.php?t=7229

Errm.....yeah. Bit "psychedelic", ain't it..?
I remember a ton of stuff like that from the late 60s. "Psychedelic" was "in" then, an' all..!
Mike.
Nothing pretty about this but it is a puppy I set up for a friend who runs a Gas Strut business.
TSM is "The Strut Man" and I used a Tahr32 6.0.6 base for him.
The QR code takes customers to his website.

Thank you so much it's always nice to know "what is under the hood".
BTW....... I don't know if you if it was you that made a post regarding cleaning screens (?) ....... well I didn't pay too much attention to it at the time. However, I changed my wallpaper to a black gradient and was shocked at how dirty my monitor looked
People be warned!!

@Jasper :-
That's one thing I always keep handy; a pump-squirt bottle of cleaner specifically formulated for computer monitors.....and a couple of soft, lint-free cloths. Doesn't need doing that often - I only do my own once a fortnight or so - but it's astonishing, the sheer amount of crud that builds up on them over time.
I probably notice it more readily than many; due to quite sensitive eyesight, I usually run dark/black backgrounds & themes. And as you've found out for yourself, under those circumstances, it's a lot more noticeable.
Mike.
That's a 256GB sd card that I have loaded up with system files, audio and video, and just about everything I regularly use. It's great for keeping data synced between all my computers.
I have an extensive set of scripts with rsync commands that I use when traveling from home to work and run them before shutdown at home and when I get to work at bootup, then my systems are completely identical.
I have a script for each directory and a complete set for each drive. They look something like this and the last part drops a date flag on the drive I run it from so I know when the last time I synced it was:
Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash
#dbox.sync.mir
rsync -r -t -v --progress --delete --modify-window=1 -l -H -s /mnt/home/dbox.sync.mir /mnt/mmcblk0p1
MYDIR=$(cd `dirname $0` && pwd)
cd $MYDIR
cd ..
cd ..
cd ..
touch dbox-$(date +"%m%d.%H%M").log
You can get a sense for what I mean by looking at the directory structure here in xfe:
I think my next move is to create big scripts that sync all those directories with one click, but I would need to click it with caution and be sure I'm really ready to do that and don't overwrite data on one drive that isn't on the drive I'm syncing from.

As always your desktops look amazing.
Can you let me know if you are using Conky and the LUA script?
I have not been able to get images working on my desktop.
Do you use this theme?
