Agreed. Simple can be best. Einstein = "K.I.S.S."
IMO, some of us get used to encapsulating what we hope is a better method.
and some like to explore variations and test their skill set.

To MOW:
OK. IMO, Your method of follow-up patches works ok.
My question is still "Why try to hard to capture a saveDATA.4fs,
when the Unix Tar Gz can capture both saveDATA(subdir) and also saveDATA(file).4fs. ?
I see my approach as a simpler approach.
