Nah, we said "legacy" back in CPM days. I have a 16 year old about 20 feet away. She says old, not legacy. She also runs Puppy btw with the most uhhhh, looking for the right word, uhhhh, okay, no, lets's skip the adjective...... desktop.

I do work with with a lot kids, teens, college kids, and young adults, and they seem to go for that 'mac'ish' thing. That being said, when they see me with my flat high contrast dark console look, they take note. Especially when I'm actually working in terminal without a mouse. But these kids, you know, they're taking music lessons, because I'm not a coder, or data processor, or whatever they call it nowadays, nope, I'm a
well, how does one say it?
I'll just come right out with it, that's the best way. I'll be completely up front, let the chips fall where they may, I
am a musician.

Getting back to the original subject of this topic.
I did JWMDesk -GTK Theme - Icon Theme - Rox - select apply - back at JWMdesk - select apply and re-starting graphic manager.
GTK window icons changed for me to Rox icon set.
you do understand these are the icons seen in a program window which is a GTK window.
Do not get this confused with ROX.
This is just a GTK icon set they named ROX.
To use Fossapup64 9.5 with the updates provided by Quickpet.
You have to be booted using the updated save, which will now place all these updates in the correct location in the operating file system.
Do your test looking at icon changes in the Geany program.
Someone already talked about the fact that some programs have their own icon settings and GTK theme does not affect them.
One thing I have found about themes and icon sets.
Getting them from different locations on the internet.
Some do not have everything needed.
Missing a specific icon for something.

Yep BigPup, geo_c made that distinction in post 4 and I eventually got it. Although confusion over the relationships and resulting action is kind of built into the terminology.

The desktop icons I use are from Puppy -- the Blue Moon set. The jwm icon "Type" were set per geo_c to the "Default" (so-called) set -- which happened to be available in FossaPup. Therefore also native Puppy.
Not to be confused with the "Default" gtk theme we were talking about later, which was not available, until Raleigh was found elsewhere (more confusing terminology).
The Rox icons seem to be the JWM icons, so changing the JWM icons also changed the Rox icons. Anyway, I can report to you that all icons are Puppy native. The gtk3 theme is an imitation of former Puppy Default, gtk2 theme but works.

Well if one wanted to make it sound very unattractive, that would work.
What kind of musician, a mouthpiece honker (my daughter is practicing sax as I write this)? Gut plucker? or do you tickle the elephant dentures?

gut plucker, if that means guitar and bass, but I really shine on drums. I do about an equal amount of work on all three.
Ah man, I like "The Old Gray Raleigh." It's distinguished.

You're a band!
I hate Old Grey Raleigh. Sounds like Sir Walter after years of tobacco experimentation hacking, gasping towards his cluttered desktop knocking his quill over, his only thought: to munch there on the two day old remnants of a wild turkey sandwich.
I like Old Puppy Style.
Or Retro Puppy

Well I would so much like to rename that gtk theme, but since I didn't write it, I think that would be out of line.
Still I'm gonna do it anyway: BK-Silver-FOX

How about putting that and the others and any others anyone suggests to a vote? After all the spirit is Community Edition, right?
All joking about Sir Walter aside, the main concern I had was, since it has been a style of long Puppy tradition (like 20 years) that it continue to be made available in future versions of Puppy as a perennial option. Hence the reason I suggested the "Puppy Old Style" or "Puppy Retro" names, which makes that reason clear and would have a fair likelihood of being included in every Puppy, rather than just forgotten again.
But if Puppyites want another name I'll go with whatever the crowd likes, as long as we all now know this theme exists and what it represents.
