The window comes up for a second but is all black. It then vanishes.

But seems like either no one else is using it or else no one else is having this problem.
So either way may not be a big deal.

I found the cause of the failure. If you run this you will see why it fails:

# ec-chroot easy

...tries to run the buster-in-container, but /files/shared doesn't exist. This is due to the changes made with /home and /files. To do a quick fix:

# cd /mnt/wkg/containers/easy/.session
# mkdir -p files/shared
# mkdir home

Then you should be good-to-go

I tried 'test.torrent' with pctorrent, it downloaded 'ubuntu-15.10-desktop-amd64.iso' ok. I got test.torrent from here:

You are lucky and I am unlucky .
Because :
I tried again today 28/12/21 at 9:03 am and at 17:23 the torrent runs and runs unsuccessfully.
In a terminal, I typed :

Code: Select all

ctorrent -v /root/Downloads/test.torrent

and you can see the report in this file :
ctorrent_rapport.txt
I stopped the programm after 8 tries.

Is it a inappropriate(s) setting(s) at my home ?

The record of the wlan statistics (at 17:23, 28/12/2021) shows that after 8 hours of activity the torrent has not downloaded :

Another guy tried too and seen the same.

I used the gui, pctorrent. Started pctorrent, can do that either from menu or in a terminal window. Left all the parameters as-is, just clicked on the button to "Select your torrent file", then clicked on "Download" button.

Perhaps one of those default settings is causing ctorrent to succeed?
