In my post above I mentioned rufwoof's post. rufwoof refers the reader to dissenter-browser. dissenter-browser is created by taking Brave and stripping out its gimmicks. puppytrue's post, https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic. ... 853#p32853 quotes its reason for being and provides a link to a Puppy version (albeit now slightly old) at ibiblio. The thread on which that post exists is mostly about MikeWalsh and my efforts (eventually successful) to run it as spot. The SFS I published is still available. IIRC, on Fossapup64 666philb has provided a version via quickpet. peebee also thought well of it.
Dissenter is hated by google and mozilla.
Maybe it's time for me to revisit it and publish an updated version. But I mostly use hardened versions of Iron and firefox when I desire security; and palemoon for general web-browsing.
Edit: Well, seems like google & firefox are succeeding in their efforts to kill it. It doesn't seem to have been updated since March of 2020. https://apps.gab.com/application/5d3f93 ... 7be41cc996. Grab it while you can.

Edit July 16, 2022: I'll have to revisit Brave Browser. See the review here, https://vpnpro.com/web/brave-review/, especially regarding advertisers.

"I was thinking of using Brave browser". See my post here, viewtopic.php?p=18254#p18254 and rufwoof's two posts below.
I'd change my suggestion, replacing adguard with Ublock-origins. The former is now also run by an ad-agency and adguard slows browsing responsiveness much more than Ublock-origins.
Before using Brave browser read this post, https://coingape.com/brave-browser-apol ... ral-links/. Also keep in mind that an apology doesn't mean it won't do it in the future. When making money is an objective several inter-related conditions appear: (1) A promise is a commitment to do it or pay damages; (2) How do you prove damages and (3) whose going to pay attorneys to sue publishers of web-browser? (4) Catch me if you can.

Talking about referral links i just want to mention that Bing, the default search engine in Slimjet browser, is (still) redirected via fpseek.com
