@ThruHammer
@mikewalsh
@6502coder
Tesseract ver #4 is working on my desktop now.

I would like to thank everybody (above) for their help.
Also @bigpup for his posting about how to use the Puppy Packet Manager.

I'm pleased to have Tesseract working at a basic level.
I have many things to learn about image quality, orientation (and so on) - but that is the future.
I have successfully taken the first step.

cobaka.

Running Tesseract ver 4 on Linux (i.e. uPupBB32) on a 64-bit machine

собака --> это Русский --> an old dog
"so-baka" (not "co", as in coast or crib).

@cobaka:-

Well, there you go. Glad we could help. App installation/trouble-shooting/just doing stuff in general is a bit of an adventure in Linux.....you never quite know what's going to happen next, but it never hurts to expand your "toolkit" so you can fix your own problems further down the line.

(ThruHammer is always worth listening to. New ID, but a veteran Puppian from the Murga-Linux days.....knows what he's talking about, that one.)

Enjoy using Tesseract.

Mike. ;)

Puppy "stuff" ~ MORE Puppy "stuff" ~ ....and MORE! :D
