3.3 download, I'm actually using the one @mikewalsh posted
Is it OK with you if I add this download link to the first post of this topic?
That is after I ask mikewalsh if it is OK to do.

Of course! It would be nice if somebody had the devx also.
l0wt3ch wrote: Thu Nov 28, 2024 8:18 pm@bigpup As for the 3.3 download, I'm actually using the one @mikewalsh posted, believe it or not. Lost all my files. Asked RSH if he still had a copy of the iso, and he said he'd send it. But I got tired of waiting, and did a search on the forum to see if anyone had hosted the iso, which people used to do. Good thing somebody did, or I wouldn't have it either!
Ah, no worries. Studio 13.37 is something of a legend in our wee community. I use it myself on occasion; not often, but I would have hated to see it get lost, so I figured it was worth saving. Ally probably has a copy on archive.org , too, since he mirrored all my stuff a couple of years back.
Anyway; glad I could help!
(Couldn't help with the DevX, mind; I never found it, so wasn't able to upload it. Would the standard Bionicpup64 DevX work for what you'd want? I know they're not at Ibiblio any longer.....but I'm not certain where they've moved to. Nluug, perhaps?)
Somebody else may know better than I. I remember this was posted about, but I can't find the thread off-hand.
Mike.

@bigpup :-
Yeah, go for it, Bigs. That WAS the whole point of mirroring the thing, after all.....to ensure a piece of our community history remained available to everyone.
I'm not shelling out for a paid Google Drive subscription for nothing, you know!

mikewalsh's download for the iso has been added to the first post.
@l0wt3ch
I hope you can keep an eye on this topic, if anyone needs help using it or issues.
This is Puppy Linux.
Nothing dies here, but does get overlooked too much!
Note:
I tried to search for it on archive.org, but nothing was found.
I think I found the devx.
devx_studio_1337.sfs
https://archive.org/download/Puppy_Linu ... o_1337.sfs
devx_3.3.sfs
https://archive.org/download/Puppy_Linu ... vx_3.3.sfs
It is in a section of archive.org with all devx's for Puppy Linux.
https://archive.org/download/Puppy_Linux_Devx
Link is now in first post.
Should there be both of them or just the one devx_3.3.sfs?
@bigpup I just downloaded and checked out three versions. One, devx_studio_1337.sfs, was uploaded in 2013, so that's probably for like Studio 13.37 1.0 or something. devx_3.3_amd64.sfs has a hidden config file identfying it as for EasyOS, so I'm guessing that is for EasyOS 3.3. devx_3.3.sfs was uploaded 16-Jul-2020, which is the right timeframe. So I think it might be that one.
@bigpup / @l0wt3ch :-
OK, guys. The last-mentioned devx.sfs - the one with the 2020 time-frame - is now mirrored at my Drive, along with the other two files.....the link as in post #1.
Another piece of the puzzle archived!
Mike.

Well first of all, when russoodle shut down her server with everyone's isos, I had been paying for that. I said 'why pay for web hosting for my iso, when its already being hosted by russoodle, and I can just give russoodle the money instead?' Unbeknownst to everyone, I had been paying for web hosting for the entire Puppy community; I gave russoodle hundreds of dollars. So I was surprised when all of my isos were taken down and posted to archive.org without my knowledge, including the newest version which had just come out, that I was trying to sell on my website.
I sent ally a pm on the forum, saying I didn't care if all the previous versions of Studio 13.37 were on archive.org, except the newest one. ally responded 'You can't tell me what to do!" which was a pretty hostile response I wasn't expecting, I thought ally would be reasonable, otherwise why contact? After that I had no choice but to ask the team at archive.org to take down the new Studio 13.37 iso. They agreed, and took down all of my isos. So all of the old versions which were being hosted by russoodle have been lost.
please post your PMs in full detailing what you actually said
ps - I have all your old ISOs

You post the PMs.
I personally don't care about the isos, I don't look at old pictures very often. But there may be somebody else who does, and you should stop wasting everybody's time, making the forum moderators scour the Internet trying to find them.
@l0wt3ch
Not to worry, I already have the ISO and Devx, for a long time now. Several versions it seems. I don't have to scour anywhere.
I use KLV-Airedale-RT or KLV-Spectr-RT for music production and for day to day audio video editing, recording a Puppy Linux F96-CE_RT.
JackalPup is also an excellent music production specific distro.
I was referring to @bigpup and @mikewalsh, who already have spent time trying to find the devx. I didn't mean you.

That's nice. How's that working out for you?
I like all of the selections and also a big fan of Studio 13 because it works well.
For what I am doing the best performing distro for recording and playing software synths latency wise is KLV-Spectr-RT or the KLV-Spectr-sr3 or CE also handle the loads really well using a Void Linux kernel.
@l0wt3ch are there any plans to set up a new model of Studio 13 with pipewire
and wireplumber
audio?
The pipewire-jack
plugin makes blending in JACK components pretty easy.

I'm admittedly curious. I thought about it.
